Number of First Graders in Armenia: Registration Continues

This year, approximately 415,000 students are attending school in Armenia. Of these, around 33,000 have registered to start first grade as of August 31. This information was provided by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MoESC), emphasizing that the registration process is ongoing.

According to the statement, the first bell has rung in about 1,390 schools operating in Armenia. The data on first graders and students in general education schools for this academic year will be summarized after September 5.

This academic year has been declared the Year of Reading in general education schools, with several initiatives planned throughout the year to encourage student reading. The Year of Reading will commence on September 4, within the framework of the International Book Festival.
