US Strikes Iran

The US armed forces have launched new strikes on targets in Iran near the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced by US President Donald Trump. The US Central Command also confirmed the strikes against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran.

According to Trump, the attacks are a response to Iranian forces' attempts to lay naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as to a missile attack on American forces in Jordan.

Trump characterized the strikes as 'large and powerful' and warned Tehran of potential consequences for further retaliatory actions. He stated that in the event of a new response from Iran, the US could undertake much more forceful measures, asserting that Washington retains the option for a broader attack.

In turn, Iran is executing retaliatory actions against American military facilities in the region. In recent days, Iran has fired missiles at American forces located in Jordan.

The new escalation of military tension between the US and Iran is concentrated around the Strait of Hormuz, which is a key route for global oil supplies.
