License of 'Artcosmed' to Be Suspended After Tragic Incident
The Ministry of Health has received a request from the regulatory body to suspend the license of the 'Artcosmed' aesthetic surgical center. This was announced during a press conference by Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan.
"The issue will be discussed shortly, and we will make a decision," she said. According to Avanesyan, the criminal case will also provide answers regarding medical errors. "We have shortcomings across various segments of the overall system. We will be particularly diligent in this specific case; if there is a mistake, there will be strict penalties," she noted.
It is important to remember that a patient who underwent several plastic surgeries at the 'Artcosmed' center died. After undergoing a plastic surgery at the said medical center, the patient experienced a sudden deterioration in health, which led to cardiac arrest.
This incident is not the only one at that center. Notably, the surgery was performed by the director of the aesthetic surgical center, Arthur Sargsyan.
