Assad Appeals to Several Countries, But Is Rejected
The President of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, has reached out to several countries seeking acceptance but has faced rejections.
In an interview with TASS, Anas al-Abd, a member of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, stated that Assad may possibly travel to an African country. According to him, there is currently no concrete information regarding Assad's whereabouts.
It is noteworthy that Syrian rebels have seized control of Damascus and announced the collapse of Bashar Assad's regime. Local Telegram channels assert that government troops have donned civilian clothing and vacated their positions. Gunfire continues in the city, and internet service is intermittent.
