Parliament Speaker Has Not Yet Received Resignation Requests from Narek Zeynalanyan and Hovik Aghazaryan
The Speaker of the National Assembly has not yet received resignation requests from either Narek Zeynalanyan or Hovik Aghazaryan. This information was reported by ArmLur.
As previously reported by the media, following the disgraceful incidents during the parliamentary hearings on October 15, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had made a decision to deprive Narek Zeynalanyan and Hovik Aghazaryan of their mandates.
“Zeynalanyan 'voluntarily' left, publicly announcing this on his social media page. However, Aghazaryan stubbornly continues to fight for his mandate and refuses to comply with Pashinyan’s decision. Despite the fact that during the board meeting held on November 19, Hovik Aghazaryan was summoned to the board and the decision to relinquish his mandate was unanimously recorded by the ruling party, he insists that the board cannot compel him to give up his mandate,” wrote the website.
The media outlet has learned that the Speaker of the National Assembly has not yet received any resignation requests from Narek Zeynalanyan and Hovik Aghazaryan regarding the relinquishment of their mandates.
