Soldier Sargis Begoyan Wins Silver Medal
In the freestyle 61 kg weight category, Sargis Begoyan, a member of the Armenian Armed Forces team and a conscript soldier, won a silver medal at the World Championship for Soldiers in Wrestling held in Yerevan. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Armenia.
The medalists in the 77 kg weight category were awarded by Jan van den Dool, the sports director of the International Military Sports Council.
It is noteworthy that fellow soldier Ashot Khachatryan, also a member of the Armenian Armed Forces team, has won a bronze medal at the same event.
