Biden Refuses to Confirm Authorization Granted to Kyiv
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, along with the National Security Council, the Department of Defense, and the State Department, are refusing to respond and officially confirm the existence of an authorization for Ukraine to carry out attacks on Russian territory using ATACMS missiles.
According to reporters at the White House, the American leader, who is attending the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, ignored multiple questions from media representatives regarding the U.S. authorization on Tuesday.
Additionally, as of 1:15 PM local time (9:15 PM Moscow time) on Tuesday, the National Security Council, the Pentagon, and the State Department had not responded to inquiries from RIA Novosti seeking to confirm the information that Biden had officially authorized Ukraine to use ATACMS to strike the Russian Federation.
On Monday, the Pentagon informed RIA Novosti that they could not confirm the granting of such authorization.
It is worth noting that President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a joint press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, confirmed that Ukraine has received permission from the West to conduct long-range strikes deep into Russian territory and announced the intention to use ATACMS ballistic missiles.
