India Tests Hypersonic Missile for the First Time in History
India has conducted its first-ever test of a long-range hypersonic missile. According to the country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, the experimental launch from the Abdul Kalam Island testing facility in the Bay of Bengal was successful.
“This is a historic moment, and this significant achievement has placed our country among a select group of nations that possess such important and advanced military technologies,” Singh stated.
The declared range of the missile's flight is 1500 km.
