They Have Violated Our Sovereignty: Iran's Foreign Ministry
According to an Iranian representative, Tehran will exercise its right at the appropriate time and in the proper manner. Iran will utilize its right to defend itself in response to Israeli strikes when it deems fit. This was stated by Ali Asghar Haji, senior advisor to the Iranian Foreign Minister, in response to a question on whether Tehran is preparing a response to the strikes carried out by Israel at the end of October.
“Israeli aggression is a violation of the UN Charter and international law; they have infringed upon our sovereignty. It is our legal right to defend ourselves. We believe we can exercise that right at the appropriate time and in the proper manner,” the Iranian official stated.
It is worth noting that since October 1, Israel has been conducting ground operations against Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon and continues to carry out airstrikes in the neighboring country, where more than a thousand people have already died, including leaders of the Shia movement. Over 90,000 people have become refugees. Despite the losses, including in leadership, Hezbollah is engaged in ground battles and continues its rocket attacks on Israeli territory.
