Iranian President on Trump's Victory
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that it does not matter to Tehran who won the U.S. presidential elections. His comments were quoted by RIA Novosti, referencing the Etemad Online newspaper.
“It is not important for us who has won the U.S. elections, as our country and its political system are based on internal resources,” said the Iranian leader while commenting on the results of the American elections.
Donald Trump, who also held the office of U.S. President after the 2016 elections, won the presidential elections that took place on November 5 this year. He is the first politician in the U.S. since the late 19th century to successfully return to the White House after a break from a presidential term.
Kamal Harris has called Trump to congratulate him on his victory, according to media reports.
