Leak of Intelligence Data in Israel: Arrests Made
Several suspects have been arrested in Israel in connection with the leak of intelligence information regarding the country’s military programs, Haaretz reported yesterday, citing court documents.
The publication claims that one of the arrested individuals is linked to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office and closely collaborated with him during wartime. Israeli officials, speaking to the American outlet Axios, state that this individual is a close aide to Netanyahu who, notably, has not held an official position in the Prime Minister’s office.
No one from Netanyahu's office has been interrogated or arrested, as mentioned in a statement by Netanyahu. He emphasized that the leak did not originate from his office but from other state agencies.
It is worth noting that on October 19, American media reported that the FBI had launched an investigation following a significant leak of classified intelligence data at the Pentagon, which discussed Israel's plans to strike Iran.
