Gerbils Spread Rabies in Moscow
It has been revealed that gerbils have become a source of rabies in the Lyublino residential area of Moscow.
Owners of infected animals initially noticed a lack of activity, followed by aggression and, conversely, hyperactivity, which raised concerns.
Gerbils that did not respond to the outside world suddenly began to run around in their cages. Following this, they started to bald and became covered in liquid.
Currently, 20 cases have been identified, but the affected batch included over 80 pets. Efforts are being made to locate them and their new owners.
