How Many Deaths Have Been Recorded in the Army This Year and What Are the Causes
As of now, deaths in the army have decreased by almost half compared to 2023. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Minister of Defense, Aram Torosyan, during a broadcast on Public Television, clarifying how many of the 33 death cases this year were not related to service duties.
Out of the 33 death cases:
- Air Crash - 2
- Due to Illness - 5
- Due to Traffic Accidents - 11, of which 7 were not related to service
- Accidental Incidents - 5
“We can state that in the reporting period of 2024, and as of now, the number of deaths in the army has decreased by almost half compared to the previous year, which indicates that significant work is being done to eliminate such incidents in the armed forces,” he said.
