Armenia's Women's Team Secures Fifth Consecutive Victory at World Chess Olympiad
In the fifth round of the World Chess Olympiad, Armenia's women's team achieved a victory over China with a score of 2.5 to 1.5, celebrating their fifth consecutive win.
This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Chess Federation. Lilith Mkrtchyan and Anna Sargsyan both finished their matches successfully.
In the first four rounds, Armenia's women's team defeated Trinidad and Tobago (4:0), Mexico (4:0), Hungary's second team (3:1), and Vietnam (3:1).
The men's team also claimed victory, defeating Sweden 2.5 to 1.5, with Gabriel Sargsyan contributing the winning point for the team. In the initial three rounds, Armenia's men's team triumphed over Malta (4:0), Andorra (3:1), and Brazil (3:1), while suffering a setback against China in the fourth round (1.5:2.5).
