MP Accuses Chancharevich of 'Selling' the Game: Meliksetyan
Football insider Suren Meliksetyan wrote on his Facebook page: "I had no desire to comment on the North Macedonia-Armenia game, but naturally, after yesterday's match, I read thousands of empty discussions. People who have nothing to do with football write all sorts of nonsense. There are also people who are holding their breath waiting for our team to fail so they can maliciously gossip. But I don't want to talk about that now. Instead, I will address an even more absurd incident.
Just now, I came across a post by one of the members of the National Assembly, who accuses Ognjen Chancharevich of deliberately letting in 2 goals and adds that Ognjen was doing everything to let in goals before that as well. The MP specifically accuses him of 'selling' the game. Does this not raise legal questions? Shouldn't this issue be addressed?
The MP is accusing a football player who, being Serbian, shows more honor than many Armenians. And if an MP writes such things about the national team’s goalkeeper, then why are we complaining about amateur remarks from regular football fans?" Remember that today, MP Gegham Nazaryan made a post on Facebook, accusing the Armenian national team’s goalkeeper of deliberately letting in two goals: "You can't trust the goal to a goalkeeper who is talented but frequently makes gross mistakes. Both goals were his fault. He let those goals in on purpose," Nazaryan stated.
