Number of Tourists Visiting Armenia Decreases
The number of tourists visiting Armenia in the first half of this year has decreased by 6.1 percent compared to the same period last year. This was stated by Armenia's Minister of Finance Vahe Hakobyan during a presentation of the report on the implementation of the 2024 state budget at the meeting of the National Assembly’s Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.
“A decline of 6.1 percent in the number of tourists visiting Armenia has been recorded compared to the same time last year. This is mainly attributed to a 23.6 percent drop in the number of tourists from Russia. In contrast, we have seen an increase in the number of tourists from Georgia, Iran, and India,” the minister noted.
