Manuel Neuer Announces End of International Career

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is ending his career with the Germany national team. The 38-year-old goalkeeper from Bayern Munich announced his retirement from the national team through a video message on social media.

“Thank you, Germany. I was happy to wear this team's jersey. We had many ups and downs with the national team. I think everyone knows the culmination — the victory in the Maracanã Stadium against Argentina, where we became world champions,” wrote Neuer.

Neuer has represented Germany since 2009, making 124 appearances for the team and winning the World Cup in 2014.
