China Controls Key Links in Our Supply Chains - Kalas

The trade deficit between the European Union and China has now reached approximately 1 billion euros per day. This was announced by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell.

He specifically noted, “China controls key links in our supply chains. Our dependence on China for critical raw materials exceeds 80%, and for certain rare metals, it is as high as 90%. We have seen that these dependencies can be used as leverage. When dialogue is insufficient, we must be prepared to fully utilize the tools at our disposal.”
