Warning: People Are Being Contacted in the Name of the Red Cross to Collect Personal and Bank Information, It's a Scam
Unknown sources are calling various individuals in the name of the Armenian Red Cross Society, gathering personal and bank information under the false pretext of providing assistance. This was reported by Arthur Hovhannisyan, the head of the press office of the Armenian Red Cross.
“Dear citizens, especially our compatriots forcibly displaced from Artsakh, according to the information we have received, unknown sources are calling different people in the name of the Armenian Red Cross and collecting personal and bank details under the false pretext of providing assistance. To protect against hacking attacks, we urge everyone to refrain from providing personal and bank information to unknown individuals. The Armenian Red Cross never discusses personal or banking information with its beneficiaries over the phone. If you have any questions, you can call the Armenian Red Cross hotline at 81 84,” the statement said.
