CSTO to Hold 'Cobalt-2024' Military Exercises; Armenia Not Among Participants
From August 14 to 16, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will conduct the 'Cobalt-2024' military exercises in Novosibirsk, under the leadership of the Rosgvardia. This was reported to TASS by the press service of Rosgvardia.
Armenia will not participate in the exercises. The department noted that representatives from the relevant ministries and agencies of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan will partake in the event.
During the three-day event, participants will exchange experiences and improve cooperation skills among special forces units. Units that are part of the CSTO rapid response collective forces will receive practical skills in conducting joint operations to search, detect, and eliminate illegal armed groups.
Using aviation and drones, special forces will attempt to assault buildings and vehicles, rescue hostages, and neutralize attackers.
