Hamas Leader's Assassination Planned Months in Advance: New Details
The assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, which took place in Tehran, was carried out using a concealed bomb. The bomb had been hidden at the hotel where Haniyeh was known to be residing for approximately two months and was detonated remotely while he was in his room. This was reported by CNN, citing its sources.
The Iranian government and Hamas assert that the assassination was executed by Israel. Israel has neither confirmed nor denied involvement. According to the source, Israeli officials informed U.S. officials about the operation only after the assassination took place.
