Paris 2024: Which Country Claimed the First Gold Medals

The first gold medals of the Paris Olympic Games were won by representatives from China. In the mixed pairs competition of air rifle shooting from 10 meters, the duo of Shen Lihao and Yuyin Huan emerged victorious. In the final, they defeated the South Korean pair of Chi Hyun Kim and Ha Chun Park.

Bronze medals were awarded to Kazakhstan’s representatives Islam Satpaev and Alexandra Len, who triumphed over the Germans Maximilian Benedict Ulbrich and Anna Janssen for third place.

China secured its second gold medal in diving. In synchronized springboard diving from 3 meters, the duo of Chen Yifen and Chan Yan took first place. The American pair of Sarah Bacon and Cassidy Cook secured second place, while the British team of Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen took bronze.
