Major Accident Involving MoD Service Members' Kamaz Truck; Contracted Soldiers Transported to Hospital
Today, on July 11, a major traffic accident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. Around 08:25, a collision happened near the bus station of Chambarak city involving a Kamaz truck registered under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, driven by 37-year-old Garik S. from Gegharkunik, and a Mitsubishi Outlander driven by 23-year-old Arman P. from Yerevan.
According to a photojournalist, as a result of the accident, Arman P. and his passenger, 23-year-old Karush E. from Shirak Province, sustained injuries and were transported to the Chambarak outpatient center.
The Chambarak police department reported the incident to the Gegharkunik Provincial Investigation Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, but it was determined on-site that the case should be handled by the 5th Garrison Investigation Division of the Military Investigative Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, as it was clarifed that both drivers and the injured were service members of the Ministry of Defense.
