Airplane Crash in Kotayk Province: Casualties Reported
On July 19, at 09:30 AM, authorities received a report from a citizen about an airplane crash near the town of Yeghvard, specifically in an area known as 'Lcher.' There are likely casualties, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as reported by Auororanews.
A response team from the Ministry’s regional emergency service has been dispatched to the scene, including a firefighting unit and operational groups from the National Center for Special Rescue Operations and Crisis Management.
Preliminary investigations reveal that an AN-2 airplane was involved in the incident, resulting in two fatalities. The operations at the crash site are being coordinated by Colonel Egor Karapetyan, who is fulfilling the duties of the Minister of Internal Affairs’ deputy for emergency situations.
