Mbappé Has Vision Problems, Says Didier Deschamps
Didier Deschamps, the coach of the French national team, spoke about forward Kylian Mbappé's health condition ahead of the Euro 2024 group stage match against Poland.
“Kylian's health is improving day by day. The swelling has almost gone down and he has started to adjust to the protective mask. He has no breathing problems, but he does have issues with his vision. In certain situations, the mask limits his field of view. Because of this, he might be disconnected from some moments of the game,” Deschamps stated, as reported by L’Équipe.
It is worth noting that Mbappé broke his nose during the first group match against the Austrian national team (1:0) in Euro 2024. Due to the injury, the 25-year-old forward missed the second round match against the Netherlands (0:0).
