Number of Protesters Detained Revealed
The Police of the Republic of Armenia have detained 42 supporters of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement from the Proshyan-Demirchyann intersection. This information was confirmed to Sputnik Armenia by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is worth noting that a question-and-answer session is currently taking place in the National Assembly of Armenia with government officials. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and ministers are responding to the questions of the lawmakers, while supporters of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement are holding a rally outside.
Significant police forces have been deployed at the Baghramyan-Demirchyann intersection, while red berets are stationed at Proshyan-Demirchyann, and black berets can be seen on Proshyan Street.
“Citizens have been detained under Article 182 of the Administrative Offenses Code (failure to comply with the legal request of a police officer),” the statement added.
