Russia's Attack in Kharkiv Oblast Has Failed: Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Russia's attack in Kharkiv Oblast has failed, according to the newspaper Bild.
In a video address, Zelensky mentioned that he had discussed the situation on the front line with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrski.
"It is a very significant outcome that the Russian army was unable to execute the Kharkiv operation. Now we are doing our utmost to keep them at bay and eliminate Russian units that enter our territory and terrorize the Kharkiv region. The direction is strengthening and will become even more powerful," Zelensky said.
Russia began offensive operations towards Kharkiv in May. The Russian army crossed the Ukrainian border from the Belgorod region, moving towards Volchansk and Kharkiv, but has not been able to advance more than 7-8 kilometers.
