Putin Has Little Time Left to Achieve a Breakthrough in Ukraine: Bloomberg
Putin has little time left to achieve a breakthrough in Ukraine, writes Bloomberg.
The publication states that now, as Kyiv receives weapons from its American and European allies, Russia's window for a breakthrough is narrowing, despite ongoing missile strikes and drone attacks, including on energy infrastructure.
It is also noted that Russia's attempt to open a new front in the Kharkiv region in northeastern Ukraine now seems bogged down and has not reached its goal of creating a 'buffer zone' along the border.
"The Russian strategy of eroding Ukrainian forces is very costly and bloody for the Russian army itself, which could lead to overextension of Russian forces, in turn giving Ukrainians the opportunity for a counteroffensive," the article states.
