Gagik Surenyans Presents Weather Expectations for June
During the month of June, above-normal precipitation is expected across the entire territory of Armenia, while the air temperature will be within the normal range. This was reported today by Gagik Surenyan, the deputy director of the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center, at a press conference.
Surenyan explained what above-normal precipitation means: ‘This does not mean that the rainfall will be as it was in May.’ He also listed the expected maximum temperatures for June.
Specifically, in Shirak, the daytime temperature may reach 28-32 degrees Celsius with the penetration of tropical hot air, in the mountainous regions of Kotayk 27-30, in the foothills 30-33, in Gegharkunik 26-29, in Lori 28-32, in Tavush 30-33, in the mountainous regions of Aragatsotn 26-29, and in the foothills 30-34.
In the Ararat Plain and in the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the temperature will reach 36 degrees, while in the mountainous area of Vayots Dzor it will be 25-28, and in the regions of Syunik 34-37, in the foothills 28-31. In Yerevan, the maximum temperature for the month is expected to be between 34 and 36 degrees.
