Berlin's Russian House Being Used for Espionage, says French Ministry of Interior
The French Ministry of the Interior believes that the Russian House in Berlin is being used as a cover for Russian intelligence services. This information was reported by French media.
The document also mentions Ksenia Fyodorova, the former editor-in-chief of RT France, who France decided to expel from the country at the end of July.
According to the French Ministry of the Interior, Fyodorova "spreads disinformation campaigns orchestrated by the Russian authorities," aimed at destabilizing public order in France. It is also noted that she recently aspired to the position of director of the Russian House in Berlin.
At the same time, the document claims that the Russian House in Berlin is used by Russian intelligence services as a "covering entity." It is pointed out that the German authorities have not publicly stated that the Russian House is involved in espionage activities.
The Russian House in Berlin operates within the framework of the "Rossootrudnichestvo" agency, which has been under EU sanctions since 2022. Despite this, the institution continues to receive funding from the German federal budget.
