Trump Defends U.S. Secretary of Defense: 'I Am Extremely Satisfied with His Work'

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he is fully satisfied with the work of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, denying reports about dissatisfaction regarding him.

"Fake news, as always, spreads false and completely unfounded rumors. I am extremely satisfied with the work Pete Hegseth has done," Trump wrote.

He mentioned that military operations by the U.S., including those directed toward Venezuela and Iran, have been successful by his account.

Trump also criticized The Washington Post, claiming that the publication's report about Hegseth was false. He declared that the Secretary of Defense enjoys great respect within the armed forces and has implemented reforms.

It was previously reported by The Washington Post that Trump had expressed dissatisfaction with Peter Hegseth's work at the Pentagon, asking for clarification on why U.S. ammunition stockpiles were so low. Trump denied this information, calling it fake.

He added that under Hegseth's leadership, recruitment in the U.S. armed forces has increased.
