Zakharova Responds to NATO's Statement on Striking Russia

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries are lying when they talk about allowing the Ukrainian armed forces to strike Russian territories using Western weapons. Several Western countries have long permitted Kyiv to hit Russia with the weapons supplied to the Ukrainian army. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, on her Telegram channel.

“It was clear that NATO representatives were lying and 'smoking mirrors' by fabricating a story claiming that they have not yet decided to allow or disallow the Kyiv regime from striking Russian territory with Western weaponry,” she wrote, commenting on statements made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that London has not restricted Kyiv from striking Russia.

According to her, in the same way, the West is misleading the countries it seeks to 'drag along' to a conference on Ukraine, which is to take place in Switzerland in June. At NATO, 'fairy tales are being told' about alleged intentions for a peaceful resolution of the conflict within the conference framework.
