Finnish President Calls on Europe to Resume Negotiations with Moscow

European states should resume negotiations with Moscow, Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated in an interview with Bild. According to the Finnish leader, someone from Europe must restore dialogue with Russia to understand what is happening there, as political-level communication is necessary.

The politician positively assessed CIA Director John Ratcliffe's visit to Moscow, emphasizing that maintaining various formats of cooperation between Russia and the U.S. is important. Stubb also expressed concern that in the absence of negotiations with Russia, Europe may distort current events.

Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed that it is the European Union that has abandoned dialogue, not Moscow.
