NATO Parliamentary Assembly Supports Ukraine's Right to Strike Russia with Alliance's Weapons

The spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, held in Sofia, has approved an amendment in the final resolution by a large majority, allowing Ukraine to strike targets located in Russia using NATO weapons, reports TASS.

The broadcast was conducted on the official website of the Bulgarian parliament. The resolution states that Ukraine is permitted to attack "legitimate targets" (military facilities) within Russian territory, with representatives from nine countries not supporting this initiative. Additionally, by a majority vote—one against and one abstention—a statement supporting Ukraine through to its victory was also rejected.

Approximately 400 parliamentarians from NATO countries and 25 partner countries are participating in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's spring session. The forum’s agenda includes defense and security issues, focusing on support for Ukraine and priorities for the NATO summit scheduled to take place in Washington in July.
