Border Guards Deployed in Tavush Region Starting Today: NSS
The National Security Service has issued a statement noting: "As of May 24, 2024, the border troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia officially commence the protection of the state border in the Tavush region at a length of 1.9 km in the Berkaber settlement and 4.9 km in the Voskepar and Baghanis settlements.
The protection of the state border at the Kiran village segment of 5.8 km will be conducted under a transitional scheme until July 24, 2024. In the same context, the protection of the corresponding sections of the border on the side of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be carried out starting May 24, 2024, by the units of Azerbaijan's state border service."
