Floods in Iran
The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has provided assistance to 5,022 people affected by floods across 23 provinces in Iran, according to IRNA.
It was reported that since this morning, rescue operations involving 219 teams of 777 rescuers are underway. “During this period, rescue teams have provided shelter for 153 people, relocated another 224 individuals to safe areas, and conducted water removal in 186 residential buildings,” the website stated.
Additionally, they have distributed 37 tents, 293 blankets, 627 carpets, 471 food packages, 699 canned goods, 200 loaves of bread, and 76 hygiene kits to those affected by the floods.
Iranian media reports that in recent days, 23 provinces of Iran, including Bushehr, Razavi Khorasan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Fars, Kerman, Hormozgan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Isfahan, and Yazd, have been impacted by the floods.
