Demand for Criminal Responsibility of Pashinyan Submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office
A complaint regarding a crime under Articles 418 and 421 of the RA Criminal Code has been submitted to the RA Prosecutor General's Office, demanding the criminal responsibility of Nikol Pashinyan in connection with the process of surrendering Armenia's sovereign territories and settlements to Azerbaijan in Tavush.
The complaint was prepared by lawyer Ara Zohrapyan and reserve lieutenant colonel Hayk Nahapetyan. According to Article 418 of the RA Criminal Code: 1. Treason, which includes joining the enemy, espionage, transferring state secrets to a foreign state, foreign or international organizations, or their representatives, or creating conditions for access to such information for the specified persons or providing assistance for conducting hostile activities against Armenia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, or external security, is punishable by imprisonment for a term of fifteen to twenty years, or life imprisonment.
According to the first part of Article 421 of the RA Criminal Code: 1. Actions directed at violating territorial integrity through the use or threat of violence aimed at separating part of the territory of the Republic of Armenia or transferring part of the territory of the Republic of Armenia to another state is punishable by imprisonment for a term of ten to fifteen years.
The complaint demands to “instruct to initiate criminal proceedings, start an investigation, and resolve the issue of holding Nikol Pashinyan criminally liable.”
