Video: 218 Units of Weapons Discovered, Seized, and Voluntarily Surrendered in Armenia in One Month
In February, a total of 218 units of illegally held weapons were discovered, seized, and voluntarily surrendered in Armenia, including 68 rifles, 6 handguns, 81 shotguns, 3 machine guns, and 2 grenade launchers. This information was reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was noted that out of the 36 weapons seized in Yerevan, 18 were discovered, and the same number was voluntarily surrendered.
In the Syunik garrison, 40 out of 195 crimes were committed by soldiers, according to the regional prosecutor.
As for the regions, 48 out of 182 units of weapons were discovered, including 4 rifles, 7 combat handguns, 15 gas and air pistols, 5 smooth-bore guns, and 17 rifled shotguns.
The police reminded that if illegally held weapons are discovered and seized by law enforcement, criminal responsibility is inevitable.
