Russia Will Respond Immediately, Says Maria Zakharova

Russia will respond immediately if the EU restricts the movement of Russian diplomats. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“We will undoubtedly take note of how this all ends. I believe that for any restrictions, they will receive appropriate 'gifts.' We will respond immediately, as we always do,” Zakharova said.

Politico, citing diplomats, reported that the thirteenth package of sanctions against Russia imposed by the EU will largely be symbolic. Referencing sources, it was added that the EU proposed to restrict the movement of Russian diplomats in the country where they are accredited as part of the 13th sanctions package.
