Azerbaijan Aims for Long-Term Peace and Stability: Gafarova
Azerbaijan respects the territorial integrity of all countries and seeks to establish long-term peace and stability in the region. This was stated by the President of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, during a meeting in Baku with the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Martin Chungong.
According to Azerbaijani media, the Speaker of the Parliament announced that Baku is also in favor of signing a peace treaty with Yerevan in the near future. She noted that “some European countries, particularly France, do not wish for peace in the South Caucasus.”
“Paris is trying to spread its neo-colonial policy to this region as well,” Gafarova stated.
