Armenian Foreign Ministry's Commentary on Serbia-Azerbaijan Military Cooperation
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has commented on the military cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan, responding to inquiries from Sputnik Armenia. Notably, a close collaboration has recently been established between these two countries. Following Ilham Aliyev's visit to Serbia, media reports indicated that Belgrade has sold Azerbaijan 48 Nora-B52 self-propelled artillery units, valued at a total of 311 million euros.
The media outlet had asked the Armenian Foreign Ministry if Armenian officials had discussed this issue with their Serbian counterparts, particularly given the previous amicable relations with Serbia. The ministry responded, stating, 'There is a permanent active cooperation with Serbia. At the same time, we inform that all issues on the Armenian-Serbian agenda are discussed as necessary.'
Additionally, it is worth noting that on February 1st, the defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Serbia signed a bilateral military cooperation program for 2024.
