Switzerland Joins EU Sanctions Against Russia
Switzerland has joined the 12th package of EU sanctions against Russia. Last December, the country supported some of the sanctions from this package, and starting from February 1, it will join the rest.
Among the new measures is a phased ban on the purchase and import of Russian diamonds. At the same time, the country is not obligated to report financial transfers from Swiss companies controlled by Russian legal or physical persons.
