Hamas Open to Negotiations and Has Received Israel's Proposal
The leader of Hamas has confirmed that the group has received an offer from Israel regarding the deal for the return of hostages, stating that it will consider it and is 'open' to serious discussions on the matter.
Ismail Haniyeh mentioned that Hamas received the proposal during a meeting held in Paris and is currently in the process of reviewing it and preparing a response, noting that the priority is the cessation of aggression.
At the same time, he emphasized that any deal would require a complete and permanent ceasefire. 'The movement is open to discussing any serious and practical initiative or idea, provided that they lead to a comprehensive cessation of aggression, the lifting of the blockade, and the achievement of a serious exchange of prisoners,' the statement read.
It has also been confirmed that senior Hamas leaders have been invited to Egypt to conduct negotiations regarding the deal.
