Washington Interested in New Round of Talks Between Armenia and Azerbaijan: State Department
Washington is interested in holding a new round of talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, said Vedant Patel, the principal deputy spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, during a press briefing.
At the same time, there is currently no information on new meetings being scheduled.
“We will work very hard to reach a conclusion, closely collaborating with Armenia, Azerbaijan, and others who are engaged on this matter,” Patel stated.
Earlier, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller announced that there is still no decision regarding the timing of a new meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington. The meeting was first announced back in December 2023.
