During a ceremony for the launch of the North Jeolla Province's special autonomous region in South Korea, the security staff of President Yoon Suk Yeol restrained lawmaker Kan Son-hee of the "Progressive Party" after he refused to let go of the president's hand following a handshake. This is reported by mk.ru.
The lawmaker's mouth was covered, and he was forcibly removed from the hall by security personnel gripping his arms and legs. Kan insists that he requested the president to "change his approach to public policy."
The actions of the security personnel from the president's office were deemed appropriate, with statements asserting that Kan was shouting and did not let go of the president's hand despite multiple requests. Such actions were classified as a threat to the president's security.
