Video: What Mr. Pashinyan Said, I Saw No Logic in It, Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that, considering the agreements reached in 2020, he sees no logic in Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements about the opening of a transit route through Armenian territory to Nakhchivan. He made this remark during a press conference on the results of Russia's diplomatic efforts in 2023. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the Armenian Prime Minister remarked that Yerevan is ready to open the road to Nakhchivan for Azerbaijan under the same conditions as it has with Iran.
Lavrov reminded that the trilateral statement made by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan spoke about unblocking economic and transport links and ensuring the safety of communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan through Armenia. “What Mr. Pashinyan said, I saw no logic in it, to be honest. It is hardly appropriate to compare these routes,” said the Russian Foreign Minister.
