Conflict Has Potential to Spread Throughout the Middle East, Says Turkey's Foreign Minister

Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip has the potential to spread throughout the Middle East region. This was reported by Anadolu.

“Unfortunately, the Gaza crisis is likely to extend to neighboring countries in the region, including Persian Gulf nations,” Fidan said.

The Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized that “the security threat does not arise from Israel, but rather from Palestine and other countries.”

He called for an immediate cessation of military operations, noting that the international community and the Islamic world must make every effort to ensure peace in the Middle East.
