Aliyev Discusses Relationship Normalization with Armenia with New U.S. Ambassador
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has discussed the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia with the new U.S. Ambassador, Mark Libby. According to the press service of the Azerbaijani President, ideas were exchanged regarding the prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and the U.S. in various fields, as well as on international and regional issues.
Economic and energy sectors were highlighted, alongside cooperation between the business circles of the two countries. The U.S. ambassador also congratulated Aliyev on the occasion of Azerbaijan hosting the COP29 conference this year.
It is noteworthy that within the framework of bilateral agreements, Armenia has supported Azerbaijan's candidacy for the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP), while Azerbaijan has backed Armenia's candidacy for membership in the bureau of the Climate Change Conference from the Eastern European group.
