«I have recorded that Armenia and Azerbaijan speak different diplomatic languages». Pashinyan
Our actions will not stop at the legitimate borders of the Republic of Armenia, and legitimacy will be the strategy of our political and diplomatic defense. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Q&A session with the National Assembly.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that the statements coming from Baku are not aimed at deliberately derailing the peace process.
“I have recorded that Armenia and Azerbaijan speak different diplomatic languages. Our task is to align these diplomatic languages with legitimacy,” noted the head of government.
Opposition MP Agnessa Khhamoyan asked the Prime Minister about the nature of those legitimate borders, simultaneously stating that Pashinyan does not know where our borders begin and end.
“With all due respect, Ms. Khhamoyan, I know exactly where the borders of the Republic of Armenia lie, and you know it too. Those borders are the ones that existed in 1991 and have been transformed into state borders according to the Alma-Ata Declaration, which dissolved the administrative borders between the Soviet republics. The delimitation process will not create new borders because, according to already established agreements, those borders are to be reproduced on maps and on paper, consistent with the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration,” Pashinyan stated.
