Turkey Warns of Imminent Deadlock in Ukraine Situation
Turkey still does not see the West's willingness to engage in peaceful negotiations with Russia regarding Ukraine, raising concerns that the situation may reach a deadlock. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing diplomatic sources in Turkey.
“Unfortunately, we still do not observe the readiness of our Western partners for resolution. The current situation is at risk of becoming a dead end. The president has repeatedly stated that there will be no losers in the peace process. We continue our mediation efforts with the hope that the conflict can be resolved,” the source stated.
Ankara believes that resuming negotiations within the Istanbul process should help halt the fighting, however, neither side of the conflict is currently ready for that.
Meanwhile, a diplomatic source in Moscow indicated that any negotiations concerning the Ukraine conflict, if they occur, will not be based on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's
